About - Fine Art Print Shell Fish

This print is a professional reproduction of the original painting Shell Fish from the Sea Treasure gallery wall original collection (originals yet to be released).

On my first visit to the new museum, I bought the book Rare Treasures from the library of the Natural History Museum. The book came with a series of reproduction natural history prints, including the print which I have used as the background for this work - Louis Renard's (1678-1746) depiction of white-barred triggerfish, clown triggerfish and a crayfish. I chose to depict one of my own shell collections in an unnatural blue hue to complement the vintage print.

Specifications

All prints are printed with archival quality inks that are rated to last well over 100 years as long as they are protected under UV rated glazing and are displayed out of direct sunlight.

Prints are limited edition and are a strict run of 200. Each print is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Penny. Prints are made to order and are shipped within 10 working days from receipt of order. Please take this into consideration when ordering your print.

Hemp paper - a lightly textured eco-friendly fine art paper created from sustainable hemp fibres. 290gsm, 60% hemp fibre, 40% cotton, acid free, white.

Hahnemühle Hemp uses one of the oldest and most diverse natural fibres in the world and is made of 60% hemp fibre. The FineArt inkjet paper’s base impresses with its bright white natural tone. The lightly textured surface gives the paper a pleasant, silky feel. Colours and details are brilliantly reproduced, the depth of the black truly stands out and contrasts are reproduced with stunning effect.

• Hemp paper prints include an additional 10-20mm of white border around the artwork (depending on artwork size) to allow for framing.
